    Default K & N CAI for '09 Silverado 5.3L?

Has anyone tried to use a K & N CAI for the 2008 on their 2009?? I am sure it is the same PN, but K & N is dragging their feet in publishing the new PN. Sad thing is, my shop sells K & N and even I can't get an answer from them as to when the 2009 PN will be confrmed! Right now, I think only Volant and Air Raid have CAI kits with confirmed fitment for the 2009s. If anyone has tried the K & N for the '08 on an '09, let me know please. Thanks!

Dont try it, i've seen a couple threads where people got the 08 intake for their 09 and they said it didnt work. Something about a sensor being built in i think was the issue. or something like that....

    Default Sounds Right

That makes sense, it looks like my MAS is part of the airbox. If previous years were not, then I can see why it will not work. Oh well, just have to keep waiting. I can't believe the 2010s will be hitting the showrooms in about 6 weeks and still no 2009 PN from K & N!!
    Thanks for the reply.

don't do it, don't try it, don't even consider it as a thought!

I was told that nothing changed and you're right the MAS is part of the air box in the 09's and not the 08's.

I've tried everything short of cutting the airbox apart (which isn't gonna happen) and everything I do starts shooting off codes and making it run like crap!

I've heard good things about the Volant and have thought about buying one but I'm scared that it will do the same thing with the codes. So if you know anyone what wants and 08 K&N CAI I have one for sale.

I wish I could return it but I'd have to pay for shipping back plus a 20-30% restocking fee so I'm trying to sell it or I'm gonna try to swap it with K&N when I come out with a new one. I've heard their customer serivce is pretty awesome.

Hope this helps and let me know when you end up doing.
