Angry Clanking sound when i shifting and driving

I have a 1988 silverado and just recently when i shift into reverse there is a tinging sound then a higher pitch clanking that occurs when i'm moving in reverse and in drive. I am not sure what this is but it's driving me insane. I can fix about anything if I can get a proper diognosis on it. PLEASE HELP!!!

What I would do is have someone listen to the noise and then tell you if it's coming from the rear end or drive shaft or the transmission / transfer case area. It's hard to give you an accurate opinion if you don't know which part of the drive train the noise is coming from.
