    Default Sticky throttle????????????????

I have a 2001 Silverado with a 4.8 v-8. I was wondering if anyone else has experianced this problem. Sometimes after the engine is warm for driving and I let off the gas or turn off and restart the motor the gas pedal seems to get stuck. If I press harder or pump the pedal it opens and operation returns to normal. As of late it has started doing this on the freeway at 65 mph I let off and it gets stuck. It almost acts and sounds like when released as if it is vacum induced. Any ideas???????????????

My 2000 5.3L does something similar. Usually the fix for me is to pull the throttle body and scrub the throat with carb cleaner and a tooth brush to get all the carbon deposits out especially around and on the butter fly. I then take a very fine sand paper just to smooth the bore. I have done this twice now since new and both times it has fixed the problem.

    Hope this helps!

I gave my TB a few shots of TB cleaner a week ago (TB still on truck) and it's been fine ever since.
