I wasn't sure I wanted to chip in for the factory stuff or not. Did anyone get it? Is it worth it?

I have only seen it on other people's TBs and other cars and truck. I would love to have one in my own car, but oh well.!

I also do not have that option. It would be a great add-on for when my son gets a little older. He's 6 months now, he's still rear-facing looking back out the rear window.![]()

i thought about getting that whole entertainment/communication package add-on, but I decided against it. I watch too much tv as is, I like to have a break from that, a time to listen to the radio, and just to get away from it all.
On the other hand, there are time when the wife is shopping, and it would be great to head out to the vehicle, pop-in a movie, and just kick back for 90 minutes while she goes at it in the mall.
hey i was debating getting the dvd system, it is a $1250 or so option and my little girl is only 7 months old, but i have some older nieces and nephews and decided to get it. it works really well and its nice to have the wireless headphones so i dont have to hear what theyre watching. the only reason i was debating against getting it was because it seemed kind of expensive for the screen dvd player and headphones. i know best buy sells kits like that for less. but this is factory and shouldnt have any problems.
I went to bestbuy got me a panisanic 10" dvd player. i put it in myslef save $150 doing so the dvd came out to $450. looks nice in the envoy.

Yeah, doing that gives you the oppty to upgrade at a later time as well without damaging the original factory stuff.

I don't have dvd/tv option in my TB either, but does anyone know if there is a wiring harness up under console? (from factory) mine is just a storage box up there but never took it apart to see.

I love your avatar, is that you? Cause I it sure looks like the actress from the Devil love prada.
Now for you question.
The factory system is expensive, I would go with aftermarket add on, try not to do to much damage and you can remove it when you sell or trade in.
I think it was trailblazer who just put an aftermarket one in his.
