electric Fan upgrade 03 silverado 5.3

I want to install 04-05 or whenever they started installing electric fans in these trucks.What is needed for the swap?Do I need a stand alone thermostat? thanks

What is the most popular,reasonable exhaust systems for these trucks?

I've installed two electric fans in different vehicles. I used the units from AutoZone. Not impressed for what they cost.

As far as exhaust sytems go I'd say Magnaflow and Flowmaster are the most popular. With the number of choices you should "test drive" different ones before you decide. Then their is the debate of 2 into 1 and true duals.

I'm running a 3" catback with a magnaflow exiting behind the rear tire with the customary chrome tip. Sounds good to me, but might be too loud for you.
