On my 2005 duramax I seem to have coolant leaking from some where above the trans or the trans itself where it is bolted into the back of the motor. I see it on both sides of the trans on the outer lower bolts. Does anyone have any idea as what it could be? And should it be covered under warranty? Oh and I have checked all the lines that I can see and no leaks.

It's not the transmission. Something is leaking from the back of the engine. Get a mirror and a flashlight and look behind the engine. Not sure about your warranty. Depends on the mileage.

I was thinking that the diesel had a cooling system on the trans dunno for sure though.

I'm pretty sure the trans is cooled through the radiator and an auxiliary cooler in front of the radiator. In any event you won't know till you look!
