okay....
Have a 95 Chevy k2500 4x4 w/ the 7.4litre and automatic.
Just had transmission professionally rebuilt. I hit a deer and did quite a bit of front end damage, and noticed over the weekend that while the transfer case will shift into gear, I don't have 4 wd. Could the impact w/ the deer have caused this or is it more likely that at 159,000 miles the auto hubs gave it up, or could the transmission shop have failed to hook something up?
It could be any or all of the above. The transmission shop should have checked that the 4WD was working before they returned the truck to you. Take it back and have them check it. Let them know you are not a happy camper!
