Bellingham, Washington is about $3.78 a gallon at Costco. I've seen it over $4.00 at some stations though...ouch.

Gas still a problem
Got gas today, must use high test, $4.29. Regular is $4.09. This is on Long Island, N.Y. It should be over $5.00 by summer.

Here in Hastings, Mi. gas was yesterday at 3.86 a gal. To the north in Grand Rapids, the price is 3.96/gal. Heard an oil expert econmist claim nothing to stop oil from hitting 200.00 a barrel by summer.
Judging from what I've seen, high prices still haven't changed waste. I still see drivers at speeds over the limits, the old jack rabbit starts, and many cars with only one driver instead of carpooling to save. I have always kept track of MPG on all my vehicles and my wife started driving to work at the speed limit of 55 instead of 60 and she can get an extra trip to work and back now on a tank of gas. Even though the speed limit on the road she uses is 55 and she used to drive 60, cars would still try and push her faster or pass by. Now she says the are just blowing by her and some are angry at the legal speed she is driving. Maybe 8 or 10 dollars a gallon with make the difference.
We are as much the blame as Big Oil, OPEC, and the Bush administration, and Congress for these prices.2001 Tahoe LT W/98K
