I have a 97 Suburban with about 120,000 miles. At 87,000 I replaced the fuel pump. I put the key to on and hear the fuel pump relay kick and also hear the pump come on for a second, sounds like a quick shot of fuel to the throttle body. It does not stay on (is this normal?) The truck turns over fine even kicking a little but just will not start. Ran great before trying to start it in the driveway this morning. No engine lights came on or anything. Can anyone help steer me in the right direction trying to figure this out.
A friend is bringing me a code reader in a few hours.
Truck gets spark at the coil and the plugs. Fuel pump is humming and with fuel in the throttle body it still does not kick. Fuel filter changed, air filter removed to ensure air. Sputtered a few times. Code reader had no codes. At this point I'm pretty sure it is the battery. Truck turns over fine but battery water levels were low and I believe I had an issue in the past where it sounded like it was turning over fine but after a full day on the charger it started right up. Check it in the morning.
