GM boss says cutting his pay is ‘fair’ move

General Motors Co. chief executive Fritz Henderson said Wednesday that government-imposed cuts to his own salary, and the pay of other executives at seven companies that received taxpayer money, were "fair" and "thoughtful."

Yeah, I'm ok with it too. I just got the news from my boss and I took a $7 - $8k hit to my annual pay yesterday. I'm glad I have a job, and so many have had it a lot worse, so I'm not going to cry over it. I'm going to do what Americans always do. Tighten my belt and keep moving forward. I'm shopping my services to the highest bidder and won't flinch if I get a better offer. We'll get through this we always do.

Well said unplugged, i also took a big hit this year, lost a bunch of overtime. I feel the same as you, grateful i still have a job and will cut where i have to till things get better. I don't feel bad at all for these overpaid suits.
