    Try some dielectric grease in the connector. The pins are probably dirty or they may be loose too so check them carefully.

    I found a broken ground wire from the back of the firewall to the engine exhaust bolt. I fixed it. The truck starts & runs fine now. Hopefully this was the culprit. I'll have to pick up some dielectric grease too. Thanks for the suggestions Jimmie!

    Well, the truck stranded me again!! I don't have a clue what the F*CK is wrong with this thing!
    Anybody interested in a 1985 C10 Silverado?......Cheap!

    Finally figured out whats wrong with this truck. Pickup coil was shot. This was caused by several scotch connectors (installed by previous owner)attached to the positive wire from the ignition switch. Replaced pickup coil & rewired ignition switch harness. Old trucks can be a P.I.T.A sometimes!!
