Need engine

Hey all,

OK long story short. I have a 97 suburban that i traded a great running mustang for. Now I need a motor for this truck i only drove 250 miles on at the most. Its a 2500 and i need a 454 big block for it complete. Its the LT package it has the letter J in the vin so it is def a big block if anyone can help me out this is my ONLY means of transport. It is only worth 1500 to the right person, start looking on your local craigslist.net how do you know the engine is shot, i amjust wondering if you know exactly what is wrong with it, it may not be as bad as you think.

the bottem end is knocking on really bad so its def going. If u pull the dipstick metal all over it i know its shot.
