Default What muffler do you run?

I've got an 06 4.3L fullsize and i'm wanting to put a new muffler on it. it has the stock setup on it now and i was wondering what everyones thoughts on a good sounding muffler would be. I don't need anything really loud but would like to hear it running down the road. I know I've only got a v6 but there has to be something to make it sound good. Also anyone who has upgraded just the muffler have to left the convertor on it or cut it out and ran striaght out of the manifold to the muffler?

Depends on what you sound you like? But if you want to hear it w/o making the pedestrians wince, try exiting from the drivers side. I've never been a fan of Flow-Masters. They work fine, but I don't care for the sound. Borla's work well too and they are sweeter to me

Cool What muffler do you run?

You have to be careful with the V-6s muffler or they sound just plain bad. Afew years back Flowmaster developed a muffler just for the V-6s and it sounds almost like a V-8, but not to loud. It should be on there website.

I just recently bought a Borla muffler for my S-10, haven't had it put on yet but I didn't want a flowmaster on it. I hope the Borla sound good though, I am also putting shorty headers on my truck as well so I don't know if my 4.3 would sound similar to yours or not?

Mine has a single Magnaflow exiting in front of the rear passenger tire. It might be coming off soon thought, it's hardly even louder than stock.
