    Default Engine replacement

I have a 1996 Tahoe LT 4 wheel drive and need to install a new engine. What is the best way? Should I pull the trans and transfer with the motor or just the motor? Any tips . tricks would be appreciated.+

This is how alldata and Chevrolet tell you to pull your engine. I've done alot of engine replacements and only on a few have had to remove the transmission also. On your Tahoe it can stay right where it is.

Thanks for the info. Over the years I have replaced many motors in my 4 wheel drive vehicles, always pulling the tranny and transfer, but I was younger then. The older I get the smarter I work.
