my wife has told me that our 02 Envoy is acting up. while driving it seems like it has trouble finding gear. it'll rev up, then drop down, the rev up and drop down. and it has been quite jerky latley too. i was just wondering if anyone had any clue as to what this might be before i go to the shop and dish out like a billion dollars for hoses or something like that.

Did this just come on all of a sudden, or did it build up over time?
There are some known issues that might be causing some of these thing. It also could be bad gasoline or water in the fuel line. There are a whole range of options.
