sensor problem ?

bought a new 2012 colorado-4k miles later,turned key-nothing-towed to dealer-dealer said the clutch sensor and the crank sensor weren't communicating with the computer-my question is,if this happens again far from home,is there any way I could start it to get it home ? (must push clutch in to start)

you could always get it rolling with your foot on the clutch and the trans in 1st gear, key on. After you get it moving pretty good just pop the clutch. It should turn the motor over and start it.

We had someone with that question awhile back, he tried as you suggested @Pikey, and I don't recall if it started. It seems to my old and broken memory that it did not start.

I'm familiar with compression starting-it just makes me wonder if it would work with all that other "electronic" garbage---
