I own a 2000 Envoy and I can not get the engine to shut off once I have put it in park. This does not happen everytime but more often then not I have to put in back into gear, lift my foot off the brake and reapply and then attempt to shut it off and remove the key - this action can fail up to 10- 15 times before I am able to remove the key .
Does anyone have any thoughts ?
thanks

What year Envoy do you have? You appear to have a typo, becuase the first year on the market was 2002.
It seems to be a function of the key-release mechanism that is in the ignition. Of course, it's all computerized, it could be an error anywhere down the line. I'm not aware of any problems like this occuring widescale. Maybe someone else knows?

Steve's right. The first year on the market for the Trailblazer and Envoy was 2002. Unless you've got a special prototype or something.

Hi Guys. Both the trailblazer and envoy were available in 2000.
They were both just dolled up Jimmys.
The new design for both SUVs came out in 2002. I am happy to say my 2002 TB was my first "new" car and I love it.
