    Default Seat Exchange.

I posted here last week about replacing my bucket seats in my '95 Suburban with a split bench out of a truck. Someone said it was possible. I lost that post or it has been removed? What years should I be looking for? Will the electrical connectors match up? Is this going to be a big pain to do? Thanks,Scott

So, it would have to come from a Suburban.....not a truck?

I'm the one that said it was possible. It does have to be from a 95-99 b/c previous years had different style years. But, IDK about the electrical connections.

If the connectors are from an earlier model, the seat will bolt up fine, but it might not plug in.

no it wont have to be from a suburban:

    95-99 Suburban/Tahoe
    95-98 Silverado/Sierra
    95-99 Yukon/XL

Also the first generation Escalade and yukon denali will work.

You also can use the seats from 2000 HD trucks as they were carried.

Also there was a small amount of 2000 Z71 Tahoes.

Sure it will. I got the front seat frame for my mum's '94 suburban from a junked '92 pickup.

thats because the 92 and 94 are the same interior, 95 was a full redesign of the interior. It may "fit" but it will look different and the connections for any power supplies may be different
