    Default 97 chevy 5.7 2wh.dr.

    service eng. soon lite on, code po1345, crank sensor and cam sensor replace them cleared lite still comes on, what next?

    Probably the first step in this diagnosis will be to get a scanner that can read cam retard and see if the timing is set correctly.

    I've heard of worn distributor gears triggering this code.

    can i use a timing light on this engine? and if not i can get uses of a snap on scanner what should the cam retard be?

    No, can't use a timing light on these.

    I'm pretty sure a good Snap-On scanner should be able to do it. Cam retard should be between -2 and +2.
