Default am I paying too much for this 2009 burb?

    2009 Suburban LT

    MSRP 47,830

    4,000 rebate

Quoted invoice and rebate at $41,730

Am I missing any available discounts? Dealer did not mention $1,000 old age discount (car has been on lot for over 45 days) and he did not mention $500 discount instead of 60 day return option. What about financing discounts? I dont have a GM card or anything like that.

He showed me invoice and it was only 2,100 below MSRP. I thought invoice should be around 3-4K under MSRP for the burb.

Price seems high considering it's only about 13% savings.

I just checked the GM family first site for GM pricing, and they have the MSRP from $46,000-$48,000 so that's about right I am guessing. This was also for a 2010 model, was the one your looking at 4 wheel drive? I have never heard of them giving the old age discount, but I thought they were giving a discount if you didn't take the 60 day thing??

this is exactly what it shows for MSRP on the 2009 Suburban 4wd LT1 and LT2

    1/2 ton 4 wheel drive LT 1LT $44,225
    1/2 ton 4 wheel drive LT 2LT $46,750
    3/4 ton 4 wheel drive LT 1LT $45,815
    3/4 ton 4 wheel drive LT 2LT $48,340

And also I can get you the employee discount on that if you are serious about buying one, because the discount is only good for 30 days from point of activation and then I would have to apply for another one. I have worked at Chevy for 6 years, and have gotten several people on this site discounts so let me know. For that expensive of a vehicle you would get at least $5,000 off maybe more, I got almost $8,000 off my last Silverado which was $50,000.

This is actually the 5th one I have done on the truck club, I can only get one per month but I would rather use them than lose them! If I remember right I can get the discount on new and certified GM stuff, but I will have to ask about that again just to refresh my mind. The last guy I helped on here saved $8,000 on a new Escalade, It is awesome when the vehicle is over $40,000 but my mom only got $1,000 off her Aveo because it was only $12,000 new.
