Default duramax edge with juice attitude issues

I have a 2004 LLY with some goodies: air intake system, 5 inch stainless exhaust, and juice edge with atttitude in a roof console mount. I have issues with the edge/attitude all the time and ready to pitch it and buys something dependable. Here are the issues:

1)cold start: the things chirps so much of too high exhaust temp at start and for about 5 minutes that is embarrassing to have passengers with me. Once the engine heats up it seems to read correctly.

2)tire size: I went one over on tires and speedo reads wrong. In the attitude it has tire size and the manual shows going up to larger sizes, but mine stops at the stock size and goes no larger, I think it was about 30-31 inch. Does no good unless I can go larger, and speedo is slow

3)speedo: speedo quits working alot, but you never know when it works or not. I ahve to use GPS to drive to stop getting speeding tickets, but odometer in truck still adds up miles and mpg calculator still keeps mileage as accurate as the tire diameter adjustment

4)If I ever go to mode 5, I usually loose 5th gear in a few minutes. I usually have to stop on the interstate, open my hood and unplug my main harness and replug in or I am wound out at near 65 mph and kick the rev limiterout if I try to pass etc. I had same issue with a 2001 duramax with Juice and hated it.

5)in mode 5 power is inconsistant. Often I hit it and falls on face and embarrassing if trying to punch out next to an older mustang. One out of three times, I hit it and I am gone and shift to second with the rear end sliding in torque and tire slippage, but too often sitting in tears in embarrassment.

Anyone else experience these issues or with other brands have similar problems?

Know three people that had issues with there edges, replaced with Gale Banks tuners, no more issues.

Yeah I've heard of these problems as well. I would suggest EFI live. haven't heard a complaint yet.

#1 can't help ya here as I had a Banks 6-gun/pda and never had any issues...

#2 even if you could select different tires it would only change the speed displayed on the edge unit itself and not the truck's speedo...

#3 that's a common problem and requires replacement of the steeper motor for the speedo inside the cluster...

#4 & 5 sounds like your going into limp mode due to slippage and may need to look into a performance rebuild soon.... 5th gear is not very strong and it's common for it to go out if you've added much power over stock....

I never had any trouble from my Banks 6-gun/pda but if I could go back I'd go with EFI Live and a set of gauges....
