He started it yesterday and it shut off a minute after starting it.
He checked a few things and found that a "stud" fuse (40amp) was blown, he replaced the fuse but that didn't fix the problem
anyone heard of this before?
I can gather more info, just tell me what you need
Thanks for the help
I honestly couldnt say yet. It could be anything from an air temperature sensor to a bad glowplug, to a dirty fuel filter. Id hook it up to some diagnostics and see if any codes come up.
1995 Silverado,Z71, 3-inch lift,2-inch leveling kit, SkyJacker Suspension, short ram-air intake, throttle body spacer, MSD ignition coil, straight pipes
It was a bad rail for the injectors... the injector controller rail or something.
Was a easy but $100 and something fix... once he had a shop check the codes for him

Glad to hear the problem was an easy fix.

Glad it was an easy fix! I just had the same problem happen. Well actually, i'm out of town and my wife is at home. She went to start the truck, it started and she forgot something in the house.. Went to get it and when she got to the front door the truck shut off and won't start back up..
On your dads truck, was there a CEL or anything to lead you to that fault? Thanks
Shane
