Default New Member and a Question

I recently purchased a 2001 Tahoe LT 4X4. It has 119,000 miles. The front has bucket seats with a console between the two front seats. This Tahoe does not have a heat/AC duct facing the rear seats from the back end of the center console (between the front seats). There is a short section of additional console at the very front of the main center console. The My question is: Can I take out the short section of the center console as they appear to be separate units. There is a cassette tape player located in the short section of console, but I don't care about not having it. I would like to free up the floor area between the space under the dash and main center console so I could mount two or three ham radios in a stacked configuration from the floor up. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks- Howard

Welcome to the site! I'd think that you could take that part of the console out as the pickups don't necessarily have that section.
