94 Suburban 1500 2wd Motor Mounts Replacement
Can the motor mounts on a 94 suburban 2wd be changed without having an engine hoist? If so, can someone explain to me how. I need to change my motor mounts and I want to change my u-joints and transmission mount while I'm at it. Any suggestions to make either of these jobs easier would be a great help.

Yes they can.
You can lift the engine/trans with a jack from underneath the truck.
Make sure you use blocks of wood to disperse the load from the jack point so it wont punch through any pans.
Loosen the engine and trans mounts prior to any lifting, and I'd recommend at least two people for the job, when you lower things back down it may take a little pushing and shifting to get things lined up right.

Depending on the exact position, you might have to remove the lower control arm to get to the motor mount bolts. 'bout as fun as a skunk at the picnic, I know. :-\
