Thanks for the welcomes!
I tossed a junk cell pic on my opening post. I'll get some better ones later on. I'll have plenty of screwball questions I'm sure. I've been a shadetree mech my whole life. She's in pretty good shape with low miles for her age (about 120k). I've put the last 25 or so on myself, mostly road trips from southeastern Arizona to LA. We're in Palmdale, CA area now, so she gets little driving now except to take the kids to school a couple miles away. Ran her over to Santa Barbara last Thanksgiving...was quite happy with the mileage again.
Just got a pinstriping book from the library, so I'm starting research on some new striping to replace the peeling wide green stripe some PO laid down. Kind of makes her look like a Forest Service office vehicle.Rob

I had a 98 4x4 that looked almost identical to yours. it was a great truck. I too had thought about adding exhaust and a intake but then again it was nice to have the quiet ride on the highway.
I drove mine 380,000 km (about 240,000 miles) and aside from a fan clutch some breaks and tires it required nothing. i upgraded the speakers and put tubular running boards on it along with chrome rocker panel covers. What a great truck
