Default Not so great day for me.

Okay so my wife and I just got back home tonight from vacation in Vegas and we stopped off at a sonic drive in. As I was backing out off the space I was in I clipped a pole and caught my passenger mirror and broke it . Now I have to get it fixed and get prices for it. I was looking online and found a couple on ebay but I'm lost with the term "w/o paddle light". what exactly is a paddle light?? Okay second thing to happen now is I told my wife I was going outside and play with my rc dift car I bought a couple of weeks ago. Anyways I took it outside put it on the ground and start it up and then it flickered and a big puff of smoke started coming out from under the body. I think I fried the servo or something. I am now afraid to touch anything else in fear of something else breaking. Sorry for my rambling here.

The puddle lights are what they have on the Escalade's, they just light up the side of the door when it's opened. I didn't think they put those on the Silverado's, I would say that's probably for a Denali or something like that that is compatible with the Silverado. Hopefully you get it fixed without too much out of pocket expense, but it actually might be cheaper to get an aftermarket set of Street Scene mirrors or something like that.

I think in this situation, your rambling is acceptable. I know those mirrors can be expensive, and by the sound of it, your rc car would be fairly expensive also. As far as the mirror goes, the puddle light is the little light on the bottom for ground illumination on keyless entry/door open. I hope you find a new mirror at a reasonable price, and that you are able to fix your rc car fairly easily. best of luck.

I went with one of the mirrors off of ebay and have not had a problem for 2 1/2 years, and its heated. the only thing is that the paint quality isnt the best, its faded much more then the original that is on the passenger and thats been there for 11 years.

Thanks but its a little more then just the plastic i broke. The glass is smashed and the top and bottom plastic was ripped off when I was backing out of the parking space. Oddly enough the power still works and I can adjust the mirror. It has a small gap though so I'm just going to replace the whole thing. I just want my truck back to perfect without any flaws, what can I say.
