My intake helped my truck and sounds great too. Its not a full cold air intake. Its just like one except it dosnt have a heat shield.

I just put the same one in. It sounds badass for just an intake. I love it.

I am a new GMC owner and new to the truck world, absolutely love my truck and this forum, I am very interested in what I read about the benefits of a CAI system, but I have a couple questions:

    - Is the installation easy to do on your own and is there any impact to warranty if done on your own
    - Are their different types/brands to consider and are any better than the others or do you pretty much get the same benefit from all.
    - any ball park estimates on the cost of having this done (both doing it on my own or paying to have it installed)

Thanks in advance for any replies

I put mine on myself. It's pretty easy if I can do it. I know nothing about cars, engines, etc. I chose the Volant because it's enclosed.

I like the way it looks. I just emailed my dealer where i purchased my truck to ask them if i were to install the Volant if it would void my warranty.
