I have a 2000 silverado with power bucket seats and the front seat moves back and forth when starting off or stopping. Any suggestions on how to repair without having to replace rails?

Sounds like the electric motor and track are either loose and need to be tightened or the motor or track has a bad spot on the drive mech or the motor internal drive gear has come loose.
Check the mounting bolts first cause thats free, then pull the drive motor and see if it's working corectly.
