Default Do you TOW anything behind your Chevy / GMC?

If you do tow something behind your Chevy Truck, Van, SUV or car, what is it?

Currently, I have an K&N 2500lb 6x9 utility trailer. That's it. I usullay tow it around as I mow the yard of some elderly folks and a widow who doesn't have a mower. (yeah, I'm a do-gooder at times)

We're looking to get either a small travel trailer or a good quality pop-up trailer for next year. I'm not sure yet, if anyone has any suggestions I'l willing to take them.

We have a 7000lb slant load horse trailer. It usually ends up behind the Avalanche, mostly because it is a better looking combo. Not to mention when I tow it with the 'burban, the neighborhood folk get a little annoyed when I'm backing it into our very narrow driveway. Total length of 'burban, and trailer is about 36 feet, so no traffic passes until I'm out of the way....

Yeah, but that's 1/2 the fun of it!

Default Towing on my Chevy Tahoe.

Yes I do tow my new 3 seater Yamaha Jet Ski. I'm still practicing of how to back up my Tahoe with a trailer and a jet ski hooked up. The first I bought my jet ski last summer, I was trying to back it up into my driveway and I did a jack knife and dented my rear bumper on my Tahoe.
So far, I pulled my trailer with a jet ski on it to a lot of places including up in Big Bear Lake, California, which is a winding road and stip. No problem with my tahoe, most of the time I felt like I'm not even towing anything. It felt the same to me.

By the way, I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe, and I see that they came out with a new re-designed Tahoe. Are there much difference on the performance of the new Tahoe to the old one? Does anybody know?

I'm towing a 31' Holiday Rambler with a dry weight of 5,400lbs. Usually weighs about 6,400 'wet' with grills, bikes, and all the gear we take.

I have noticed that some of the new hybrid traliers are really economical, and have lots of features. They often are designed as travel traliers but the beds fold out on each end like a pop-up to save weight. I've even seen a couple with sildeouts in the center.

    Good Luck!

My first post here. '03 2500HD, extra cab 4 dr, 8.1, Allison auto. only 12,000 miles so far. It's a retired NASCAR truck from California speedway. We tow a couple of things depending on when n where. 24' prowler travel trailer and a 16' flat bed. If it's camping we take the travel trailer and put our 2 quads on a rack in the bed of the truck. If it's a day trip for some 4 wheeling we tow the flatbed with our lil Suzuki Samurai.
