Another Jersey guy here! Central Jersey, near Washingtons crossing.
Been here all my life (45 years), and I come from a long line of farmers. I, however have broken tradition mostly to afford to live here. Jersey has its pros and cons, and at times it gets a bad rap. We love it here, but someday we will retire to a slower paced, more reasonable area. Cost of living is way too expensive (taxes, insurance). For what I pay in property tax I could have 4 lakefront homes in VA or NC. Thats why my suburban is a 2000, not a 2008!
