So i have a 94 chevy k3500 6.5 4x4 standard tranny. I have replaced the dual mass flywheel with a single flywheel . I got it together drove it ten miles er so .Than i sherd off the bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank . Everything bolted up nicely . I am confused what may cause this .

This is the same truck you had earlier clutch issues with right?
The quality and grade of the fasteners is what comes to mind first.

Were the original bolts torque to yield bolts that were reused?

Please explain the method you used to install and tighten the bolts? This will help to find the cause of the failure. I have been in the transmission business for 38 years and I'm here to tell you this is the second time I've ever heard of this happening.

The dual mass flywheels were a good idea and they did smooth out vibrations. The problem with them is they don't live. The bearing between the 2 wheels fails as do the springs and small parts. So the solution is a conventional flywheel which lasts much longer although you do have vibration and rattle that most diesel engines have.

Well fella i sold the old girl but i installed the flywheel first and i just tighten the flywheel bolts as tight as i could get them . After fruther inspection at a real garage and they said that the bolts i had in were not long enought he said they were barely in the crank after some new grade 8 bolts and longer ones it seems to be running like a champ a little low rpm vibration but only on take off .$1000 later . i probably should have check that out and tourqued em down ?!
