fuel injection to carb in 2000 silverado?????
Hey! i was wondering if anybody has swaped a carbed small or big block into a newer silverado? it has a 4.8l and is all original! lol it has over 200k on it. i was thinking on droping and tubing the rear and make it a 1320 killer! so, if anybody has any expearience the help would be great! thanks!

not sure it could be smogged in certain states (California) and I would think the computer would need a bit of reworking.

im in va, so no worry about smog issues.and im talking about taking the computer out, like an old school swap. like in the old 70s and 80s. that style motor swap.

would you be looking at a new crate motor or an old rebuilt motor. If it is a older motor I think you would have to change the tranny as well. a new carbed crate motor might still have transmission issues but I don't know. there are others on here that will have much better knowledge than me on the subject.
