Thread: Blower Motor Resistor 1996

At this point in time you might also want to think about what overloaded the resistor.
If the blower hasn't been changed this would be a good time to change it. Also wash out the AC coil and heater core while your there.
The wiring feeding the blower motor is a little on the light duty side.
Add a ground from the blower to the dash pivot bolt while you're at it.
There is a plug there feeding the blower motor. The wires here frequently have the coating heat damaged & unless it has been replaced they will eventually fail.
I use a 1/4" Craftsman cordless ratchet for a lot of the hard to reach spots.
The other tool I use is a little ratchet that accepts 1/4" hex bits. I got it out of the bargain bin at Napa for $4. I know that stuffs made in China but I've never seen those anywhere else.
I believe the screw heads are 7 or 8mm.
