Default No Dome lights 1999 Suburban

Having an issue with the overhead lights, will not work with door open or with switches. Although the lower lights come on when the door opens. Any ideas on how to begin diagnosing this problem. This is a 1999 Suburban LT 5.7 Anyone else with this problem out there?

    Thanks

I have checked the bulbs and replaced the fuse, you can use the switch and the lower and door lights come on.

Problem Solved!!!!! On the drivers side there is a panel that houses most connectors to the vehicle. Its behind the plastic piece where your left foot might sit, or the panel that the hood release is behind. The connector was completely corroded, looked like moisture had somehow gotten into it. I used 3M multiwire connects moisture resistance, purchased from Wal-Mart for about 10.00. AllDome lights and reading lights function normally. Be careful of the hood release when removing the plastic piece, it looks like it it becoming brittle. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks

Good question since that was the only connector of 4 in that tight area that was corroded.
