when you use vht or any kind of clearcoat candy mixed paint on plastic lights, you have to wet sand them first. yes its a long hard process but it gives you professional results. wet sand the light down until they look frosty. then spray on the vht/tinted clearcoat to you desired tint. last you have to polish the crap out of them until shiny again. thats the only way to do it right. if you just spray that stuff on straight its going to look like crap every time.

i used the VHT taillight tint on my taillights and i did about ten coats haha made them real dark but you could see it cracking so just yesterday i took them back off, wet sanded them with 1500 grit to smooth and remove alot of the "spider cracking", and sprayed 3 coats of clear coat. looks 100x better. not sure if that will fix yours but may be worth a try?

When I did my taillights, I had to sand them down, starting with 1000 grit, and then wet sanding with 1200, 1500, and 1600. Lens was a clean as new.

Were you trying to keep the tint or take it off?
