With the lower median house price in the south (compared with the rest of the country) do you have more money to spend on toys like cars/trucks?

Been here all my life, so I can't compare it to anywhere else, but I could probably never have enough extra money to keep all my hobbies going the way I would like. :?

I've live in 1/2 the country. Idaho, Washington, California, Texas. I like it in the south, but wouldn't mind moving out west someday. I like it here because I can go either direction on the road and be 1/2 way to the coast and can fly anywhere in 3 hours.

Lived in the D/FW area most of my life with a few years spent in Colorado and Nevada. Also just returned to Texas from San Diego, California, where I was stationed for the better part of two years. We'll definitely try to retire on the West Coast. :D
