Loose Steering on 99 1500 Suburban
I just bought a 99 1500 4x4 and the steering feels a little loose. There seems to be about 1 or 2 inches of play in the steering wheel. What usually causes this issue? Is it a cheap fix?

loose steering on 99 suburban
Sounds like a combo of worn front parts as in idler arm, pitman arm, upper and lower ball joints etc.

There is a lot of info about this issue. Use the search term: "loose steering"
Someone even came up with a cheap fix for how to lube the steering shaft
