Hello Bob. If he don't....which he hasn't replied to my PM yet...but I have an extra if you need one. And I guess you are speaking about the metal curved plate behind the plastic dash panel underneath?

And stupid question....but what is the point of these anyways??

    Thanks

I think.....having never seen one, wouldn't it be to hide the stuff under the dash right there.Doesn't it extend from the bottom dash edge down to the firewall or close to it? This is kinda" off the top of my head" thinking. I would still be interested.Does this part appear to be what i decribed,Let me know what you would like to have for it, and i'll make a trip to the local Gm dealer to look at a picture just to be sure. Will this work ok for you?
I just wanted it mostly . because Gm put it on there. sounds abit strange i suppose, but i will go and find out what it shows in the Gm parts book. and hey thanks TXfire----------for the reply waiting to hear

The part I have is the metal piece that is under the plastic pop on panel. It does hide I guess whats under there to an extent. Once the plastic piece is there, you don't see any of it at all. Other than that....I don't know...maybe some kind of protective thing for all I know.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I went to the dealer today..he gave me a copy of that area,,seems i'm after something that ain't there in the first place, as my knee bolster is there, and theres nothing attaached to the bottom edge, going back to the firewall. The bolster is the plastic part right below the column. So i don't need something i'm not supposed to have anyway , but thanks tex and forgive the idiot in me i'm getting older, and it isn't a ton of fun anymore hang-in man bob s
