Thread: O2 Sensors

  1. #1

    Default O2 Sensors

Has anyone removed their O2 sensors from their exhaust system? If I remove these, will they screw up anything on my truck or would it be better to leave them alone?

leave them alone your truck will run crappy with out them but if u are replacing them they are as easy as replacing a spark plug

Check this video out, this is before the guy put the 02 sensors back on! I wouldn't want to see all that black smoke out my back window, but then again that's just me.

They serve a purpose altering or removing them is asking for problems.

It is not advised. I have ran my truck without but that was because I was burning them up every few weeks because of my exhaust temps. I solved my issues and now have them back in.

I agree 100% with everyone's posts thus far. Please don't take off your 02 sensors for people's health

a few years ago, i thought that when i got a truck i would just take off everything from the header tips back, but the people on this site convinced me otherwise, so i'm just passing off what they had to say
