Default How to bypass electric selectable ride new shocks

I have a 02 Chevy Silverado that has the selectable gas ride shocks. Does anyone out there any thoughts or have already put after market shocks? How do you trick the computer on it so no errors pop up? I can't see spending the $1,000 on OEM shocks. Also anyone have any feedback on how many miles you have on your truck with our replacing the orginal shocks, I have 125,000 on mine but the they still seem to ride fine, just thinking ahead of the expense. - Thanks
