I just got my rough country full leveling kit in today, and realized that I was an idiot and only ordered 1 shock boot. Should I order the other 3 or just leave them off. I like the look better with it on, but I have heard they trap mud and water in them. What should I do? Thanks
Pics will be posted of before and after my installing the kit next Friday.05 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab Z71, Silver

Really its personal preference. I have the silver Bilsteins and have the boots on all four. I think it looks better. It will help keep some dust / dirt out of the wiper seals. Sure it's possible mud and water will get stuck in there but by the time that's a probem it might be time for new shocks anyways.
I did notice that mine are caked with mud on them today and tht should be blasted off.
None-the-less, I do like them.
Hoe that helps.Trevor - Huntington Beach, CA

Having had the oppourtunity to live on both coasts I've found this was a regional type issue.
If you live in territory where its muddy, or humid most people remove the boots to keep the shocks dry and reduce corrosion.
If you live in a dry enviroment you leave them on to keep the dust out.
In the end you do what ever looks best to you cause it's your truck and your the one that has to be happy with her.

X2 what tbplus10 said. I live down in Alabama and I dont run boots anymore because I had shocks rust out under the boot from mud and water trapped inside. I tried making more drain holes in the boots but they just got plugged with mud.
