Default 2001 surb heater temp sticks

    Howdy,
Sometimes the heater temperature on my rig sticks on max temp regardless of the actual temp control dial setting. If I turn off the engine it's like the heater gets "reset" and the temp control dial works again. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like this happens when the temp knob is set to the max. any ideas? Thx!

This is INSANE. Obviously this isn't an isolated problem, yet nobody on this board ever FIXED it or figured out what the actual problem was? I'm getting disillusioned that this board can help on any problems other than "how do I get better mileage?" and " will these tires fi?." !@#@!#!!!@#

LMAO Raudea Well I am saving a ton on gas and my tire REALLY do look good. All fun aside If we keep bumping this thread one of two things will happen. We will either catch the eye of someone who can help or one of us will find the solution. At this time my suburban is at the back of the TLC list and my 87 chevy is in the front, with my 01 silverado following closely behind. I have a task list a mile long on the 87, and a short but needy list of the 01. The Suburban is doing well with the exception of this heater issue at the moment. But I wil get there and if I solve it your hear it here first! lol
