    Default aftermarket converter opinions

Polling opinions for everyday use aftermarket catalytic converters....

I've only used Magnaflow in past vehicles....seeing what everyone has to say. Application is a very mild 350 TBI, headers, 3" tubing, Flowmaster 40 case.

I wouldnt spend my money on aftermarket cats. Even the best high-flow cat on the market still cant touch the power potebtial of no cats. And cutn them off wont make your truck louder, its your muffler choice, exhaust length, and diameter. So if u want great power and managable sound, use no cats and a good flowmaster, if u want your truck to sound great and have great power, go the straight pipe way like me. Either way is a great choice.

I got excited and thought your thread was about torque convertors. But no. Yeah man, ditch you cats.

Your stock cats are already high flow cats. If your stockers are going bad, then yes I would replace them. I am running Magnaflow cats on the Tahoe and SSS.
