    Exclamation Blue Smoke

Hi guys I have a question..
My friend bought a '92 camaro RS..
The previous owner put a 5.7 liter engine...
The car had been sitting for a while..
So when he starts it...it don't smoke...
But when he revs it high it smokes..
    the smoke is kinda blue...
and he said the oil smelled like gas...
    what can be wrong??

Well oil gets into a motor threw a bad valve guide or worn piston rings/worn cylinder walls. And seein as how the oil smells like gas, id say worn piston rings are allowing a bit of gas to slip by them and mix with oil and the worn rings are allowing oil into the combustion chamber and be burnt causing blue smoke.

In my opinion, yes because i dont think at this piont Lucas Oil Stabilizer could seal your cylinders up enough to help it. So id open her up, have the cylinders bored and put in a new set of pistons and rings.
