    Default 2008 duramax hour meter

    Hi there,

    Just bought an 08 Silverado 2500 Duramx Diesel with 90,000 km`s (50,000 miles) The hour meter only reads 50 hours but it seems to function properly....just wondering if anybody knows if they restart at 0 hours after a certain number of hours, or if GM has had problems with the hour meter

    I believe I remember reading that they have a problem with the hour meters sometimes just resetting randomly on some trucks..... Kind of a hit or miss deal......

    It happened to me also. I appears to happen went the battery is completely drained
