    Question Detroit Diesel Conversion Help

Hello everyone. I am about to take the great journey from the gas side to the diesel. I have been doing some reserch on what I need to do for this conversion but anyone with any experience or knowledge would greatly help!! I have a 91 GMC Suburban 1500 with the 350sbc tbi motor and a t400 tranny. I have 16" of total lift so I dont think ill have any clearence issues for the oil pan. I will be going with the Detroit 6-53 turbo and will be mating a Eaton Fuller 10 speed tranny behind the motor so I am counting on cutting out the exhisting cross members and motor mounts to fit the new stuff. I imagine im probly gonna have to reenforce parts of the frame. I am also planning on having to add a few more leafs to my leaf pack to support the extra weight. Like I said, any info or experience you could suggest would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Great links! Thanks for the info. That made rethink maybe using a 4-53 turbo instead of the 6 cylinder.
