you can try and get in there and move the blend door by hand. I beleave but dont quote me on this, it will be one of the actuators on top of the hvac box.GM TECH

If air only comes out of the defrost that could mean the linkage assembly on the side of the suit case box is broken, happened on my truck but have no fixed it yet.

I had a similar issue with a 96 Suburban. Vents were stuck on Defrost and there was no heat.
I replaced the HVAC control panel and it fixed both.
