5.7L/350 water pump snout studs
Tomorrow I need to replace the water pump on my 1991 Suburban with the 5.7L engine. The swap seems pretty straightforward except the water pump I bought has threaded holes in the snout and the factory water pump has studs. I'm working off of recent memory here, but I haven't taken it apart yet. Am I supposed to transfer the studs out of the snout of the old water pump and put them in the new one or did I get the wrong pump?

I figured it out. The studs pull out and get transferred to the new pump. However, in the process I stripped out a hose clamp, so I'm heading off to get a replacement.Christopher
