Did some diagnosis on why my work truck has airbag issues. It looks like its the connector in the kick panel that GM put out a bulletin about. I took the connector apart and the contacts are blackened and discolored. So, I guess the next step is to pick up a new connector and hook it up. I just want this to go away since the "Service Airbag" message every time I start the truck is irritating and I'm not a fan of messing with the airbag system to fix it so the less work it takes to fix it, the better.

I did another test fit of the air tank carrier and was satisfied with it, so I prepped it for painting and then wiped it down with a degreasing agent. Had it been warmer I'd have painted it. I'm hoping it's a go for tomorrow...

Finally got the accessory power plug in the center console/jump seat connected. The dealer (Hoen Cadillac/Buick/GMC) finally listened to me and guess what? There was a plugin already there under the carpet! Wish the dealer/service dept. knew more than me! Cause I don't know much! Anyway problems resolved. Next project is replacement of outside mirrors.

It was cold and rainy, today, so I fired up the shop heater and put a space heater in the garage to bring it up to paintable temperatures and then laid down 3 coats of paint on the air tank carrier. Tomorrow I'll hit it with two coats of Eastwood heavy duty anti-rust coating.
