Actually room is what's getting to be VERY tight. Also the complexity level keeps going up...

I didn't, but my neighbor decided to do some body work. She slid down a hill and hit my rear bumper. Wasn't too mad since it messed up her car way more than mine. Another reason why i love older trucks....Steel!

Today I watched several videos on how to solder and created a 12v DC tester using a hobby shop train transformer. Now I can test LEDs, bulbs, and circuits before install.

    • Removed the front grille
    • Removed the front bumper
    • Rremoved billete bumper slot grille
    • Fabricated mounts for a pair of Rigid 10" SR-Series Specter light bars
    • Installed twin Rigid 10" SR-Series Specter light bars into the bumper slots
    • Modified bumper mounts to allow enough clearance to aim/adjust the light bars
    • Placed light bar wiring in wire loom and routed/secured it within the bumper
    • Terminated light bar wiring in an environmentally sealed male connector
    • Fashioned a ground wire, placed in wire loom, and connected to same ground location on the frame as my auxiliary battery
    • Fashioned a positive wire, placed in wire loom, soldered a connection to the appropriate position on my Bussmann relay box (to trigger via the FRONT LIGHTS rocker switch in the cab), and heat shrunk it
    • Routed both the positive and ground connections to a location near where the FRONT LIGHTS connection point will be when the bumper is reinstalled

Tomorrow I should only have to reinstall the bumper, clip the positive and negatives wires to length, fashion an environmentally sealed female connector, connect it, put a fuse in the relay box, test my handiwork, aim the lights, and reinstall the grille. That's the theory, anyway...
